KNIT COACH JACKET(SUPER ZERO KNIT)

MATERIAL: 100% COTTON

This knit is made at a knitting factory in Yamagata Prefecture using three strands of 30/2 SUPER ZERO yarn, knitted at a maximum density of 10G. Despite being knitted at a maximum density, by using SUPER ZERO yarn,
The finished product is untwisted, with almost no twist in the yarn. Therefore, compared to other knitwear, the knitted fabric is not stiff even though it is tightly knitted.
It retains the firmness that comes from being densely woven, but is soft and contains more air, making it light and fluffy.
Another characteristic of the texture is the dry touch that is reminiscent of vintage items. This is achieved by boiling the yarn at high temperatures for a long time during the untwisting process.
This texture is a by-product of the degreasing process. With each wear and wash, the untwisted yarn will loosen further, allowing you to enjoy the vintage-like aging process.

What is SUPER ZERO yarn? Left-twisted cotton yarn and water-soluble yarn are combined and then strongly twisted in the opposite direction. After weaving, the yarn is treated with hot water, and only the water-soluble yarn dissolves. In reaction to the water-soluble yarn dissolving, the cotton yarn expands greatly as it tries to return to its original direction. Air gets into the gaps in the opened cotton yarn, resulting in a highly absorbent yarn with a long-lasting fluffy texture.
